Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Information Security SME to join our team! In this role you will get to design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • The Information Security SME proactively evaluates, plans, implements, upgrades, or monitors security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
  • The Information Security SME will ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure and respond to computer security breaches and viruses.
  • Ensures appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure the system and network enterprise environments and uses technical knowledge and analytical skill to determine the optimum mix of technology, policy, procedures and education to implement effective information security programs and strategies.
  • Establishes and manages program control processes, compliance assessments to determine deviations from acceptable configurations, policy, or standards, and provides expertise in compliance requirements for internal and external reviews of requirements.
  • Drives identification and mitigation of risk posed to the confidentially, integrity, and availability of information systems.
  • Fully masters and explains to others the information security requirements for legal and regulatory.
  • Generate Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) to track the mitigation of vulnerabilities and compliance issues.

Required Skills:
  • 15 Years' experience planning, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer operating systems and networks, component architectures, application development, and/or data management processes and technologies - the successful candidate must understand the fundamental technical components, processes, and interactions of enterprise-level information systems in both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience providing security support for application systems (not just networking and infrastructure) in both on-prem and cloud environments.

What You Need To Have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 15 years of work-related experience.
  • A Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 13 years of work-related experience.
  • In lieu of a STEM degree bachelor's degree, a minimum of 20 years of work-related experience is required.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Desired Skills
  • One or more industry certifications including CISSP, CAP, SANS GIAC Certifications GSEC, GSLC or comparable certification
  • Active AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Certification
