Job Details
We are seeking a Database Analyst to design, implement, and support data architecture solutions that enable research and enforcement programs. This is a contract, hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Build and manage ETL processes within the silver layer of the research data lake
Partner with research teams to translate business requirements into the gold layer
Maintain data quality across all layers and clearly document data movement and lineage
Onboard new data sources while ensuring visibility into data transformations
Support compliance-related tools and strategic enforcement efforts
Develop data pipelines to monitor wage theft violations and support WALL initiatives
Establish validation checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability
Create predictive models and business intelligence reporting solutions
Standardize data workflows and enforce governance and quality standards
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database systems
Solid background in ETL development and data warehouse design
Strong Python skills for data processing and automation
Hands-on experience with the AWS data stack (Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, Redshift)
Experience building BI dashboards and reporting tools
Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences
Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience with data dictionaries and electronic data processing platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS QuickSight
Background working in government or regulatory settings
Familiarity with Git and vendor-managed database solutions
Experience enhancing or optimizing data pipelines
