Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior PeopleSoft Consultant with over 12 years of strong expertise across PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, and/or Campus Solutions modules. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong functional understanding, and proven experience in delivering large-scale implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing support using PeopleTools and integration technologies.
This role requires a forward-thinking professional with excellent problem-solving abilities, performance tuning expertise, and a keen ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of complex customizations and integrations across PeopleSoft environments.
- Act as a solution architect for PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades (PUM), enhancements, and modernization initiatives (e.g., Cloud migration).
- Collaborate with functional and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system solutions.
- Manage performance tuning, impact analysis, data integrity, and system optimization initiatives.
- Develop technical artifacts including PeopleCode, Application Engines, SQRs, BI Publisher reports, Integration Broker services, and Component Interfaces.
- Handle configuration and security setup, including roles, permission lists, and workflow.
- Ensure robust change management using PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, and DPK tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and non-production environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
- Participate in audits, SOX compliance checks, and support documentation.
Core Skills & Expertise:
- PeopleTools 8.5x+, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interface, Integration Broker (REST/SOAP)
- Strong command of SQR, BI Publisher, PS Query, XML/XLST templates
- Deep expertise in PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions modules
- Hands-on experience with PUM, Change Assistant, DPK, and PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF)
- Extensive knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server/DB2)
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Security, workflow, and approval frameworks
- Experience with Elastic Search integration, Performance Tuning, and System Optimization
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts, Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and Agile/DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft on Cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of bolt-on development, data archiving, retrofit analysis, and upgrade accelerators
- Functional knowledge in Payroll, Benefits, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, eProcurement, etc.
- Familiarity with API integrations, external third-party systems, and SOX audit controls
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- PeopleSoft Certification(s) preferred but not required
