Job Description:
- We are seeking an RPA/AI Project Manager to oversee our pharmaceutical client's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI/ML portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional business areas (Clinical, Discovery, Finance, TechOps, Development) to understand processes, gather requirements, and implement RPA and AI/ML solutions. You will be responsible for liaising with internal IT, onshore, and offshore consultants to create RPA bots and AI/ML solutions. You will also oversee the development, execution, and governance of the RPA and AI strategy across the organization.
- Project Management: Plan, design, develop, maintain, and support RPA and AI/ML projects, upgrades, change management, and operations.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, vendors, and resources to design and develop RPA bots and AI/ML solutions.
- Strategy Implementation: Drive RPA and AI implementation strategy, understand business challenges, collect requirements, and develop solutions.
- Consensus Building: Create consensus on solution introductions and withdrawals.
- Solution Review: Recommend new solutions, changes to existing ones, and exceptions. - Team Management: Manage developers, business analysts, and support personnel, ensuring collaboration, productivity, and professional development.
- Budget Input: Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes. - Support Collaboration: Ensure support teams deliver right-fit digital solutions. - Compliance: Operate within a culture of compliance and collaboration.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on clinical development. - Strong understanding of RPA technology (UiPath or other RPA suites), CSV, Google Cloud Platform processes, generative AI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and OpenAI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to articulate complex concepts, understand customer needs, and negotiate complex issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, data-driven decision-making. - Familiarity with industry-specific digital trends and challenges.
- Project management experience is A MUST ...Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, manage on-shore, off-shore, and third-party teams. - Experience in research and drug development areas (Clinical Operations, Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Finance, HR, Medical Affairs).

Job Summary
- The Associate Director of Digital IT (RPA/AI) is responsible for managing the Robotic Process Automation and AI/ML portfolio. The role collaborates with the cross-functional business areas including Clinical, Discovery, Finance, TechOps, and Development to understand business processes, gather requirements, evaluate, prioritize, and implement RPA robots and AI/ML-based solutions. The role liaises with internal IT, onshore and offshore RPA consultants and developers to create RPA bots and AI/ML-based solutions. The position plays a critical role in developing, executing, and governing the RPA and AI strategy across Incyte.
- Essential Functions of the Job
- Work directly with business partners to understand business challenges, collect requirements, and develop RPA or AI/ML solutions.
- Plan, design, develop, maintain, and support RPA and AI/ML implementation projects, upgrades, change management, and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, system implementation partners, vendors, onshore and offshore resources on the design and development of new RPA bots and AI/ML solutions in support of business needs.
- Establish close relationship with business partners and collaboratively drive RPA and AI implementation strategy.
- Create consensus with other stakeholders as to the timing of solution introductions and withdrawals.
- Review and/or recommend new solutions, changes to existing solutions, and exceptions where robots may not be the optimal solution.
- Responsible for direct people management including providing mentoring and facilitating employee professional development.
- Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes by providing input to the Digital IT budget.
- Ensure the various support teams are collaborating to deliver the right-fit digital solutions to the assigned business area.
- Operate within a culture of compliance and collaboration.
- Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations on desired policies and goals; implement new/reviewed programs according to established guidelines.
- Ensure the various teams are collaborating across the enterprise, across various groups, and build a high-performance environment.
- Manage operating expense and capital expenditures within budgetary constraints.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a science related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of IT experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on clinical development. Project management experience is plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of RPA technology using UiPath or any other RPA suite. Must have sound knowledge of computer system validation (CSV) and Google Cloud Platform processes. Familiarity with generative AI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and OpenAI.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to understand customer needs, negotiate complex issues and total value offerings to customers and partners.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific digital trends and challenges.
