Job Description:
- This role provides project controls and scheduling leadership for large-scale data center construction projects.
- The position oversees schedule reviews, milestone tracking, cost impact analysis, and executive reporting, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery across multiple campuses.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project scheduling oversight for multiple large-scale construction projects (Greenfield, Brownfield, and fit-out).
- Review and validate Primavera P6 schedules submitted by general contractors.
- Align construction schedules with key project milestones such as facility readiness, operations handover, and network/fiber integration.
- Conduct critical path analysis and ensure sequencing and dependencies meet project requirements.
- Extract and analyze data from vendor teams to produce accurate reports and impact assessments.
- Develop and deliver biweekly/monthly reports and what-if scenario analyses for senior management.
- Collaborate with cost control and budget teams to assess schedule impacts on funding and costs.
- Manage change and delay approvals using E-Builder and other workflow tools.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (design, operations, network/fiber, mechanical/electrical) to track interdependent milestones.
- Present findings to executives using clear communication and data-driven storytelling.
- Navigate ambiguity in fast-paced projects where designs or funding may not be fully finalized.
Experience:
- 5 10 years of experience in project scheduling or project controls within:
- Data center construction (preferred), or
- Large-scale industrial construction (oil & gas, pharma, high-tech manufacturing, CAPEX-intensive projects).
- Proven track record in schedule management, risk analysis, and cost impact assessments.
- Strong experience in critical path methodology, change management, and integrated project planning.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Skills:
- across Product, Engineering, and Customer teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Knowledge of project management tools such as:
- E-Builder (workflow, change approvals)
- ACC Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM collaboration, takeoffs)
- Procore or other construction management tools (nice-to-have)
- Strong data management, analysis, and reporting abilities, including what-if scenario modeling.
- Familiarity with data visualization and dashboarding tools (Looker Studio, BigQuery).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and high-speed project environments.
- Strong influencing and change management skills.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
