Role: Appian Senior Developer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian-based BPM applications aligned with business needs.
  • Work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to transform requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Create process models, SAIL interfaces, records, reports, and Appian sites.
  • Integrate Appian applications with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and third-party tools.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices to ensure quality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner across environments.
  • Assist in estimating project efforts, defining scope, and providing technical inputs to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior Appian developers within the team.
  • Stay updated with Appian platform updates and proactively incorporate new features into solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with Appian BPM development, including recent versions.
  • Proficient with Appian objects like SAIL, Process Models, Records, CDTs, Reports, Sites, Web APIs, and Expressions.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in fast-paced team environments.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Appian with RESTful APIs, databases, LDAP/SAML, and external services.
  • Solid understanding of BPM concepts, application design patterns, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Developer Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
