Role/Responsibilities

Domain Logistics, Shipping and Transportation

• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, use cases, and process maps related to port operations, vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and billing logistics
• Develop and maintain detailed business process models, cost models, and billing structures to support pricing negotiations, invoice accuracy, and freight cost management
• Support and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews alongside development and QA teams
• Lead the analysis and optimization of billing logistics processes, including invoice reconciliation, freight settlement auditing, and cost forecasting
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for system issues relating to logistics and invoicing software, ensuring timely resolution and end-user support
• Support change management initiatives and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, billing standards, and internal controls
• Manage vendor and carrier relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring service levels to optimize costs and service delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to define and align the organization s strategic goals and objectives with operational needs.
• Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of current business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Architectural Design: Create detailed business models and architectures that support the organization s strategy and objectives, including business capability maps and value streams.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Change Management: Develop and implement change management plans to facilitate smooth transitions during business transformations.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of business models and make necessary adjustments.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and create plans for risk mitigation to ensure business continuity.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in business analysis, architecture, or a related field is often expected.

Skills:

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
• Proficiency in business modeling tools and methodologies is also important.
• Experience in business analysis within logistics, shipping, ports, or freight billing domains

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $ 88,000

Pay Range Maximum: $ 180,400

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
