Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Execute mechanical and environmental tests per written instructions.
Prepare and build test samples using basic hand and power tools.
Operate and monitor test such as drop test, strength tests vibration tests etc.
Record and document test data accurately.
Perform visual inspections of test samples for defects (e.g., cracks, loose fasteners).
Assemble and set up test fixtures as directed by engineers.
Support long-duration tests and ensure consistent monitoring.
Maintain a clean and organized testing environment.
Types of Testing Involved:
Mechanical Loading: Shock, drop, vibration, strength etc .
Environmental: Water spraying , other environment simulation as provided
Occasional Electrical Testing.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with mechanical testing (static/dynamic, shock, drop, vibration).
Ability to follow detailed engineering instructions and protocols.
Familiarity with basic test equipment and data recording tools.
Strong attention to detail in visual inspections.
Experience building test setups and fixtures is a plus.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, development-focused environment.
Preferred Backgrounds:
Industries: Aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, outdoor ground equipment.
Education: Associate s degree in a technical field preferred, but practical technician experience is highly valued over formal education.
Candidates with technician-level experience and a strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
Additional Information:
This role is focused on test execution only no protocol development required.
Testing is for development and design qualification, not production quality sampling
