Job Details

We are looking for a resource will support our Client Data Center Operations - AI & Application Platform for Excellence (APEX), hub and spoke, cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS flavors. This position will join the APEX team and focus on APEX cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, and serverless). This position will build, implement, configure, monitor, administer, and secure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, and serverless).

Client will leverage this resource to support cloud steady-state activities and cloud migrations for the Client Data Center Operations APEX team. This is in support of migrating and supporting Client applications geared to be migrated to supported cloud providers.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience

  • Knowledge and experience in solutioning, configuring, integrating, and securing cloud networking and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless) in Azure and/or AWS

  • Experience and understanding of cloud computing DevOps principles (CI/CD)

  • Experience with containerization, deploying, and configuring microservices

  • Kubernetes architecture deployment, scaling, and maintenance

  • Proficient automation skillset using scripting languages and CLI tools (Bash, Korn, PowerShell, Cloud CLI, Kubernetes Helm)

  • Experience with declarative and imperative languages (YAML, JSON, Ruby, HCL)

  • Tools experience: Ansible, Docker, Terraform (IaC)

  • Cloud and performance monitoring tools: Sysdig Secure (CNAPP), Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Operations, Azure Monitor, OCI Monitoring

  • Knowledge of cloud recovery strategies, storage replication, automated recovery, disaster recovery

  • Knowledge of cloud database services (RDBMS/NoSQL), data lakes, and ETL/ELT best practices

  • Understanding of Azure Data Factory, OCI Data Integrator, Google Data Fusion, AWS Kinesis, Data Sync, Data Copy

  • Best practices for cloud infrastructure optimization, troubleshooting, compliance, and security controls

  • Effective written and oral communication

  • One or more cloud certifications: Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle

  • Experience with cloud networking and service models

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented problem solver

  • Experience working with Client or other Texas state IT agencies
