Job Details

  • Develop the complex electromechanical systems of the next generation robotic platform.
  • Apply advanced analytical methodologies including mathematical/numerical modeling and simulations to design, development, and optimization of state-of-the-art mechanical systems.
  • Utilize mechanical engineering design principles of capital equipment and mechanisms combined with application of static, dynamic, and kinematic analyses.
  • Design and develop mechanical sub-systems including concepts generation, CAD design, analyses, documentation, verification, and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly, and Design for Reliability for current and new products.
  • Perform forward and inverse kinematics, finite element analysis of components and assemblies, 3D tolerance analysis, different types of modeling using Simulink, Simscape, or MATLAB programming.
  • Participate in hands-on activities including engineering tests and characterizations.
  • Post process the corresponding test results using mechanical engineering principles and statistical theories.
  • Implement best practices in design methodologies, development processes, and tools.
  • Scout new tools and techniques, internalize, and train others.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate different trainings as needed.
  • Document the process, design description, test protocols, and test reports.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:
