Job Details

JDA Consultant

Location: Chicago, IL (3-4 days a week)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide application support for JDA Blue Yonder solutions, particularly modules such as Inventory Optimization and Store Operations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for business users to troubleshoot issues, address incidents, and provide resolutions within agreed SLA timelines.

Analyze, triage, and resolve functional and technical issues related to the JDA platform.

Perform incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL best practices.

Engage in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes to minimize recurring issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including store operations, merchandising, supply chain, and IT to enhance system capabilities and performance.

Participate in release management and coordinate testing activities for patches and upgrades.

Ensure data accuracy, system availability, and high-quality performance in production and UAT environments.

Develop functional documentation, support guides, knowledge articles, and training materials.

Monitor system logs, perform proactive health checks, and optimize configuration settings.

Support integration with other enterprise systems like ERP, POS, and WMS where applicable.

Collaborate with Blue Yonder support and vendor partners for escalations and fixes.

Provide inputs on process improvements and automation opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of experience in JDA/Blue Yonder application support with expertise in Inventory Optimization and Store Operations modules.

Strong retail domain knowledge, especially in store-level inventory planning and execution.

Hands-on experience with issue triaging, bug fixing, and configuration within Blue Yonder.

Good understanding of supply chain planning, forecasting, replenishment, and store fulfillment processes.

Proven experience in working within production support environments, including 24/7 on-call rotation or after-hours support.

Familiarity with integration frameworks between JDA and other enterprise applications.

Proficient in SQL for querying data and debugging issues.

Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and incident management workflows.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
