Job Description:
This role is responsible for on-prem to cloud networking from taking part in technology assessments, configuration, deployments and life cycle management, as well as cloud management tooling, monitoring, and orchestration. The ideal candidate has experience in routing-and-switching, software development methodologies, designing and creating highly available designs and automation (IaC). Advanced industry knowledge is key, as well as knowledge in building scalable engineering solutions. The candidate will be a talented technologist with experience engaging with Cloud and Security Teams throughout the full development life-cycle - from inception and design to deployment, operation, and iterative deployments.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead new Cloud Networking solutions, where solution is currently not available for Citi's use
- Lead on-prem to Cloud network engineering and development - working in collaboration with the Cloud team
- Deliver the automation and capabilities needed to enable Cloud Network Services
- Provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management for supported cloud providers
- Ensure compliance to regulations and policy by implementing accurate requirements traceability
- Provide cloud network services to enable a fast and resilient hybrid cloud with built in security capabilities
- Develop, cascade and enforce engineering best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code
- Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex cloud systems
Skills and Experiences:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
- Understanding of public cloud services adoption at scale.
- Expert level understanding of AWS/Google Cloud Platform native networking services such as AWS Transit Gateway, Google Cloud Platform Shared VPC, AWS Route53, Google Cloud Platform Cloud DNS, etc.
- Hands on experience with modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and DevOps frameworks (Jenkins, LighSpeed, GitHub).
- Work with software development Citi's Cloud Networking Solution CNS (middleware platform developed in Java/Spring Boot), experience in Python, Golang is highly desirable
- Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) understanding.
- Familiarity with Agile Development, DevOps and SRE practices.
- Experience evaluating complex requirements and rationalizing into a consistent service offering.
- Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, and Electronics as field of study.
