Role Summary:
The VMware Architect owns the end-to-end VCF migration strategy, from discovery through final service cutover. This role is responsible for the overall technical success, ensuring the target environment design supports all future business and workload requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities Oversight, Design & Build:
- Lead Discovery and Planning sessions for existing VMware 7.x/8.x environments.
- Design the target VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9) environment, including networking, vSAN storage, and hybrid cloud integration.
- Oversee the build and configuration of the target environment's management and workload domains (HC, network, VSAN).
- Act as the highest escalation point for all technical issues across the HCX and Migration teams.
- Define the workload migration strategy and sequence, working closely with the HCX SME.
 
Required Skills Expert-level proficiency in VMware VCF and vSphere 7.x/8. x. Deep knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (NSX-T) and vSAN. Strong project management and client-facing communication skills.
