Job Details
The Workday Security Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the security framework within the Workday environment. This includes defining, configuring, monitoring, and auditing user access to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Workday security roles and domain policies across HCM, Finance, Payroll, and other modules.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to assess and implement security configurations based on role-based access control (RBAC).
- Create and maintain security groups, domains, and business process security policies.
- Perform periodic security audits and reporting to ensure access compliance and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Manage security-related change requests and resolve incidents related to user access.
- Partner with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to understand new security requirements and implement them effectively.
- Maintain documentation of security configurations, procedures, and change logs.
- Stay updated with Workday releases and assess the impact of new features on existing security models.
- Support Workday updates, patches, and testing efforts as they relate to security.
- Provide training and guidance on Workday security best practices to internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HRIS, or related field.
- 3 5+ years of experience in Workday security administration.
- Strong understanding of Workday modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll, etc.).
- Proficiency in Workday security concepts including domain security policies, role-based security groups, business process security policies, and custom security groups.
- Experience with Workday tools such as Report Writer, EIBs, or Studio is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Certification in Security or HCM.
- Experience with internal/external audits and SOX compliance.
- Prior experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
