Project description: The Client requires rapid capabilities that mitigate or resolve major IT issues, cybersecurity threats, national security through the further development of Client's GSOC capability. The contractor shall support a GSOC technical assessment to understand the baseline capabilities of Client's GSOC and identify future initiatives and capabilities that will support the further development of Client's GSOC.

Required Skills:

  • Must have 5 7 years of relevant, Network Engineering and operations experience with focus in designing, deploying and maintain enterprise networks.

Preferred Certifications include

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (optional)

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Understanding of network protocols, services, and security (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN).
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • The Client builds and maintains sustainable facilities, delivers utilities, and services, and provides Agency expeditionary combat force capabilities.
  • Client requires facilities under its command and the facility related controls systems (FRCS) in them to be interconnected to properly provide Technical Management, Continuous Monitoring, and an End-to-End (E2E) Cyber Defense capabilities to Client's Facilities Engineering Commands.
  • The Control Systems Platform Enclave version 3 (CSPEv3) has been identified as the networking platform these systems will connect to and requires location specific integration for each of the designated control systems that will be connected.
  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure for a DoD client, with a focus on Cisco SD-WAN and Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • This role requires a Familiarity with security frameworks and industry standards like NIST SP 800-82 Rev. A, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, DoD 8500.01, etc.
  • The Network Operations engineer should also be familiar with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, and vulnerability scanners i.e. Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

The primary job of the CSPEv3 NOC support team is to support local and remote locations where CSPEv3 infrastructure is deployed in order to integrate FRCS systems into this network topology with an end goal of enhancing the cyber security posture and enable continuous monitoring of critical systems.
