Opportunity Overview:

Business Analyst, Sr-Nuclear - Contract 1 Month

Jupiter, FL - 100% Onsite

Your Day-to-Day:

Apply expertise and strategic focus needed to conduct complex operational analyses and lead medium to large project teams that support informed decision-making within your team. Main responsibilities include reviewing and approving findings to be presented to senior management, conducting statistical analyses, and coordinating with other departments regarding programs. Direct and mentor the lower-level analysts.

Main Responsibilities:

Management & Documentation:
Create detailed requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards
Conduct team member interviews to gather functional and non-functional requirements
Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications Maintain requirements traceability matrices and change control documentation

Data Analysis & Source Evaluation:
Analyze new database sources feeding into Power BI & AI generated dashboards
Assess data quality, completeness, and business relevance
Document data lineage, business rules, and transformation requirements
Collaborate with data engineers to validate data integrity and performance

Test & Quality Assurance:
Develop comprehensive test plans for Power BI reports and data validations
Build user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate testing activities
Validate business logic, calculations, and dashboard functionality
Document defects and work with development teams for resolution

Business Process & Improvement:
Map current state and future state business processes
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions
Support change management and user adoption activities

Team member Management:
Serve as primary liaison between users and technical teams
Present findings to senior leadership
Facilitate meetings sessions
Provide regular project updates and status reporting

Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of business analyst experience in data/analytics projects
Experience with Power BI, data visualization, and reporting tools
Expertise in SQL, database analysis, and data validation
Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing methodologies
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes

Desired Qualifications:
Experience in utility/energy industry
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence
Previous experience with database migration or dashboard implementation projects
Advanced Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and data analysis skills
