Job Details
To excel in this role, you should possess a good understanding of Linux operating systems, with a particular focus on Red Hat Enterprise or related enterprise version. Familiarity with IT security concepts for Linux compute environments is essential.
Basic Qualifications:
- Perform under supervision as a Junior Linux Systems Administrator for a large IT provider performing OS upgrades, patch installation, port closing and certificate installation.
- Maintain efficient operations of the IT infrastructure including desktops and servers.
- Support multiple networks and ensure necessary IT administration tasks are completed under supervision as necessary.
- Assist testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user and impact.
- Assist with developing and maintaining technical processes and procedures as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years is required
- Basic knowledge of maintaining Linux environments to include fundamental knowledge of the RHEL Operating System, performing daily maintenance, patching, and basic knowledge of BASH shell and scripting.
- Experience working in team of IT professionals under direct supervision.
