Description:
Our client, a leader in the financial services space, has an excellent opportunity for an IT Risk Analyst to work a 12-month+ contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role after the first year. The contract phase of the position is fully remote. If converted to full-time, candidates will be expected to work onsite 3-4 days per week at one of the client's office locations in Phoenix, AZ, Atlanta, GA, St. Petersburg, FL, Omaha, NE, or Minneapolis, MN. Permanent conversion is not required, but candidates local to one of these markets or willing to relocate to one of these markets upon perm conversion would be prioritized by our client.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60/hr - $75/hr w-2
Responsibilities:
Design, document, and test IT controls in alignment with NIST CSF and SP 800-53 frameworks.
Conduct assessments of IT controls, document findings, and establish internal testing protocols.
Manage and maintain the IT risk register and report on control effectiveness and risk trends.
Use GRC tools (AuditBoard preferred; Archer acceptable or equivalent) to manage risk lifecycle and documentation.
Communicate risk posture clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience Requirements:
3-5+ years of experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity, or IT compliance.
Working knowledge of NIST frameworks (CSF, SP 800-53) and relevant regulatory standards.
Strong skills in documentation and communication; must be detail-oriented with clear writing.
Experience with GRC platforms like AuditBoard, ServiceNow, or Archer.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and interact with cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
CISA, CRISC, or CISSP certifications.
Experience with AuditBoard to manage IT risk registers, control assessments, and tracking remediation efforts.
Background in regulated industries, such as financial services.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, risk management, or a related field. Significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
