Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Workato Consultant to lead a Mulesoft-to-Workato migration project for a leading US-based healthcare client. This is a strategic role requiring deep experience in integration platforms, strong technical architecture skills, and the ability to validate implementations built by external Workato teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both Mulesoft and Workato, and a strong background in API-led integrations and automation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal integration leads to review and validate Workato implementations.

  • Translate Mulesoft DSL and DataWeave logic into Workato recipes using formula mode and callable recipes.

  • Define migration strategy and best practices for scalable automation.

  • Explore or validate the use of GenAI tools to accelerate migration and recipe generation.

  • Identify integration patterns and optimization opportunities.

  • Work closely with global engineering and delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in integration engineering or solution architecture.

  • 3+ years of hands-on Workato experience: building recipes, managing connectors, and automation logic.

  • Proficiency in Mulesoft DSL and DataWeave scripting language.

  • Experience with API-led integration design and migration projects.

  • Ability to assess code quality, risks, and suggest improvements to third-party implementations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using GenAI or AI-based tools for migration acceleration.

  • Workato certifications (Automation Pro II or Architect).

  • Experience in healthcare integrations or HIPAA-compliant environments.

  • Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or Ruby for logic extension in recipes.
