Job Details

ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking an Air Traffic Control Specialist to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.
  • The person in this position will be responsible for providing Air Traffic Control (ATC) expertise on the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) program. Applicable functional areas include proficiency and knowledge of test plans, test procedures, test reports, and execution of tests in the lab environment. This individual will need to interface with other FAA organizations including site personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provide ATC experience for the FAA's STARS program with the ability to develop and execute test plans/procedures and reports
  • Demonstrate initiative, customer orientation and teamwork competencies, and be able to work independently under general guidelines and objectives

Other Job Functions
  • Ability to develop test plans, test procedures, and test reports
  • Ability to execute test procedures in the lab environment
  • Ability to work individually and within a group/team
  • Ability to take direction and initiative; ability to provide direction and training

Responsibilities

Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education level and Seventeen (17) years of National Airspace System (NAS) experience with a minimum of twelve (12) of those years as a Certified Professional Air Traffic Controller (CPC) in a civilian or military En Route, Oceanic or Terminal Air Traffic Control Facility

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Technical Tester with experience on one of the following NAS programs: STARS, Time Based Flow Management (TBFM), Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS), or Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM)

Preferred
  • Technical Tester with the required knowledge plus experience in STARS/NAS and Test

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center; potential for hybird schedule
  • Limited (25% or less) travel to locations throughout the US
