Role Title: Socotra and Guidewire Developer
Duration: 6 12 Months
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Socotra and Guidewire Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Socotra platform configuration, content modeling, and integration with core insurance systems like Guidewire. This role involves full-cycle development, from requirements gathering and system design to deployment and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions using Socotra and Guidewire platforms.
- Configure and manage the Socotra environment following industry best practices.
- Implement Socotra content modeling, workflows, templates, components, and user permissions.
- Integrate Socotra with Guidewire modules (Policy, Claims), as well as other internal systems such as Assets, Target, Campaign, and APIs.
- Collaborate on front-end development using frameworks like Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular, or React.
- Perform comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Follow test-driven development (TDD) practices and create technical documentation as needed.
- Deploy applications across Dev, QA, and Production environments, managing release pipelines and migration tasks.
- Adhere to secure coding standards, CI/CD practices, and internal development guidelines.
- Troubleshoot issues using log analysis from Apache, application servers, and other debugging tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Socotra and Guidewire platforms.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and proficiency in Java, J2EE, Servlets/JSP, XML.
- Experience with Java Content Repository (JCR), Apache Sling, OSGi Framework, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Familiarity with Sling Models, Sightly (HTL), multi-site management, and advanced workflow implementation.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JS libraries/frameworks such as jQuery, Bootstrap, Grunt.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration techniques.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar.
- Cross-platform/browser compatibility awareness (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, etc.).
- Proficient with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
- Solid understanding of dispatcher configurations in AEM environments (if applicable).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven background in insurance domain projects, particularly in PSP-defined SCU environments.
- Developer / Software Engineer experience: 7 10 years overall software development experience.
- Guidewire platform experience: Minimum 1 3 years in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
