Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Avon, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and security of IT systems, while delivering technical solutions to support business needs. This position offers the opportunity to work in the aerospace industry, contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems.
Design, implement, and manage technical solutions to address business challenges, with an emphasis on thorough documentation and training.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues, prioritizing and assessing their impact on operations.
Perform system upgrades, including server hardware, operating systems, and software, to enhance security, availability, and functionality.
Develop and execute data protection strategies, disaster recovery plans, and failover procedures, including regular testing and backup security.
Provide desktop and helpdesk support, resolving application and hardware issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
Collaborate with IT teams across multiple locations and coordinate with external service providers for seamless operations.
Monitor system performance metrics and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration and user support.
Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2012R2-2022), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and PowerShell.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and the ability to resolve related issues.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and cloud technologies like Azure.
Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript is a plus.
Knowledge of Linux and MacOS is advantageous.
Ability to support enterprise software and manufacturing execution systems is preferred.
Willingness to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and travel up to 10%.
