Job Details

Position: Salesforce Data Cloud Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA/ Austin, TX
Travel: Hybrid 3 days/week Type: FTE

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain production environments for Salesforce Data Cloud, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
  • Monitor system health, data flows, and integration points between Salesforce Data Cloud and other enterprise systems
  • Implement and manage data pipelines, transformations, and synchronization processes
  • Troubleshoot complex data integration issues and resolve production incidents with minimal business impact
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational processes and data management
  • Collaborate with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders to implement data model changes and enhancements
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Perform regular system audits and implement recommended security practices
  • Manage release cycles and coordinate deployments to production environments
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Provide technical guidance to support teams handling user-reported issues
  • Triage and resolve support requests in a timely manner according to priority levels

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing Salesforce environments, with specific focus on Data Cloud (formerly Salesforce CDP)
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns, ETL processes, and API technologies
  • Proficiency in Salesforce data modeling, including objects, fields, relationships, and security models
  • 7+ Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud connectors and integration frameworks
  • Knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience with monitoring tools and implementing alerting mechanisms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Data Cloud Specialist certification
  • 4+ years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud integration patterns
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
  • Scripting skills (Python, Apex, JavaScript)
  • Background in implementing data governance frameworks
  • Experience with large-scale data migration projects
  • Knowledge of machine learning implementation within Salesforce ecosystem
