Position Overview:
- A Varicent ICM (Incentive Compensation Management) Developer is a professional who designs, develops, and manages incentive compensation plans within the Varicent platform. They are responsible for configuring and maintaining Varicent components like data models, workflows, reports, and calculation logic to ensure accurate and timely incentive payouts.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience working with Varicent ICM.
- Proven expertise in development efforts related to Incentive Compensation Management (ICM).
- Experience with migrating to Varicent ICM Cloud is a significant advantage.
- Strong functional knowledge of agency commissions management within the Life Insurance sector, including an understanding of hierarchies.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Creating and configuring Varicent ICM components, including data models, workflows, reports, and calculation logic based on business requirements.
Data Management:
- Developing and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines to ingest and process sales data into the Varicent platform.
Requirement Gathering:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for compensation plans.
Testing and Validation:
- Performing unit testing, data validation, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the accuracy of incentive calculations.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Investigating and resolving issues related to compensation calculations, reporting, and data integrity.
Documentation:
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including configuration guides and data flow diagrams.
Performance Optimization:
- Monitoring and optimizing system performance to ensure timely and accurate incentive payments.
Skills and Qualifications:
Varicent ICM Experience:
- Demonstrated experience with Varicent Composer, Reports, Web Forms, Schedule modules, system configuration, and model building.
SQL Proficiency:
- Strong skills in writing SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting within the Varicent environment.
ETL Knowledge:
- Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) methodologies and experience in building data pipelines.
Sales Compensation Knowledge:
- Familiarity with sales compensation concepts, commission structures, and performance metrics.

- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and develop effective solutions.
