Job Description

One of our government clients is seeking an experienced Senior IT Program Manager to lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of software solutions supporting Traffic Monitoring, Roadway Information GIS, and Highway Infrastructure Management. The ideal candidate will manage complex data warehouse and business intelligence projects through their full lifecycle from discovery to delivery, ensuring alignment with agency goals, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to project team members to ensure task delivery.
  • Work with Agency project managers to facilitate the development of project scope definitions.
  • Maintain project level budgets, set standards for project level budget reporting, and create reports of projects level budgets. These reports will be produced for executive level management as well as detailed level reports on an as needed basis.
  • Create project level risk and issue management plans. The candidate will coordinate and produce project level resource reports.
  • Create and maintain a business plan and return investment data for projects.
  • Create project presentations and progress reports on a monthly basis.
  • Organize, manage and direct project team tasks and assure the proper application of PMO standards, tools and methodologies in project work.
  • Experience in leading and managing complex Data Warehouse and business intelligence projects, from discovery through implementation, with medium-to-large budgets and a sizeable staff.
  • Ability to develop strong client and working relationships with the team
  • Supervise and manage the project Stakeholders, the project team and project communications.
  • Manage project risks, issues and changes.
  • Oversee and manage the project schedule and project budget.
  • Manage conflicts and ensure successful project delivery

Required skills:

  • 7 years Project/Program Management experience
  • 3 years experience with full lifecycle implementation projects from requirements definition through implementation
  • 3 years experience hands-on expertise with Microsoft Office products including Project and Visio
  • Experience working with government agencies is a plus
  • Must have strong communication skills; both written and spoken
  • Must have ability to work in a team environment Develop the project plan.

  • ESRI Software experience
  • Transportation experience
  • Linear Reference System experience

Certifications:

  • Current PMP certification
