This role offers the opportunity to drive enhancements in virtual infrastructure, manage ongoing migrations, and ensure resilient, scalable system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cloud resource provisioning and migration, primarily within Azure IaaS, storage, and identity solutions.
  • Respond to and resolve system alerts and notifications to ensure continuous operations.
  • Foster communication and collaboration among IT teams, presenting technical recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Implement and improve backup and disaster recovery strategies using solutions such as Veeam and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Engage in Nutanix deployments and migrations from VMware, and deliver ongoing enhancements to virtualization and backup infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, manage capacity, and optimize performance.
  • Develop, review, and document system designs, configuration changes, testing and implementation plans, and project timelines.
  • Conduct technical research to evaluate new technologies for business fit and strategic alignment.
  • Ensure alignment with security frameworks and help drive adoption of infrastructure security best practices.
  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery strategy development and execution.
  • Lead and direct others on projects, and leverage proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate system changes.
  • Follow IT change management processes and maintain system compliance through timely application of upgrades, patches, and new deployments.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering or a related IT field.
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience as an Infrastructure Administrator.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate actionable solutions to varied audiences.
  • Proficient with cloud services, including Microsoft Azure, and hybrid identity environments (Azure EntraID/on-prem Active Directory).
  • Experience with Windows Server OS, M365, Teams, Intune, AVDS/RDS, and advanced Microsoft licensing.
  • Hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, Azure Stack HCI, VMware, Hyper-V, as well as server/storage hardware and SANs.
  • Advanced skills with Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam for M365, and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and automation scripting.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as IAM, MFA, PAM, SEIM, Pen Testing, and Vulnerability Scanning.
  • Experience in vendor management and IT audits (SOX, SOC1, ISO, PCI, HIPAA) preferred.
  • Business continuity/disaster recovery planning experience, and understanding of ITIL best practices, are desired.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Azure certifications, CompTIA, etc.).
