As the HCM Data and Integrations Architect you will have the opportunity to play a critical role in developing, socializing, and activating the long-term strategy and architecture for data and integrations within our diverse portfolio of over 100 Human Resource applications and tools.

The HCM ecosystem includes SaaS, vendor-managed(BPO), and on-premise applications which require a progressive data strategy coupled with a pragmatic deployment approach which is adaptable to current and future needs. A primary focus will ensure data integrity across the ecosystem, enabling synchronous data flows and driving the organization's data-centric strategic and operational goals. This role is responsible for creating an integrated data strategy across HCM applications and implementing data management processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The candidate for this role must possess expert knowledge of technical data models and middleware architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy and Architecture:
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive long-term strategy and architecture for data and integrations, aligning them with business objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity across the organization's ecosystem by designing synchronous data flows.

Data Management:
  • Create procedures and processes to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security.
  • Analyze, plan, and define the data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
  • Architect an executable data obfuscation/data scramble strategy across applications and platforms to adhere to PII standards.

Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with various teams within the organization to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess stakeholder needs and goals.
  • Research data acquisition opportunities to enhance data capabilities.

Middleware and Technical Expertise:
  • Provide expert knowledge of technical and middleware architecture, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to operations and application development teams.
  • Review business drivers and strategies with Business and Application Architects to understand implications for technical and middleware architecture.

Solution Architecture:
  • Provide input to the development of project initiation documents, including the definition of objectives, scope, approach, and deliverables.
  • Identify and communicate risks associated with middleware components or application implementations.

Emerging Technologies:
  • Identify and assess emerging trends in data and integration technologies and lead the implementation of new solutions.
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects (POC) and contribute to ongoing development efforts.

Technical Consulting and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide technical consulting on complex projects, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Troubleshoot and drive solutions for a wide variety of complex problems.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a Data and Integrations Architect or a related role.
  • A minimum of 7 years of data management, data architecture, middleware, and integration technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • A strong business orientation combined with strong technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in assessing emerging technologies and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Results oriented, biased toward action

Nice to have:
  • Relevant certifications in data management or architecture (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, TOGAF) are a plus.
  • Middleware technologies such as WebMethods, SAP, Globalscape.
  • ETL technologies and methods

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred) or equivelent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $136,038 to $182,490 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
