Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Drive the daily activities to meet overall program objectives and focus on processes within product definition and engineering design cycles. Identify multi-functional design dependencies and risks, including managing several parallel path developments such as high-risk high reward and conservative, and low-risk paths and driving data-driven selection checkpoints. Define and document design trade-offs, for example, considering and picking a battery chemistry option to meet a product requirement. Influence and negotiate project architecture and design with System teams and within the Battery team to ensure proper scoping. Develop and drive project schedules specific to New Product Introduction by following the Apple-defined development flow to create a detailed development plan outlining deliverable owners, expected completion milestones, and task dependencies. Identify and engage multi-functional engineering partners for product definition decisions by studying development options and taking into account performance, schedule, cost, and resource implications for each option. Enable the development efforts by crafting and monitoring an efficient, streamlined process. Identify and direct all resources required to execute successful projects. Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering functions and operations. Brief project status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors up to executive management. International Travel Required 5%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,019 - $205,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Management, Engineering Science, Mathematics or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Experience developing comprehensive project plans, allocating resources, identifying risks, creating mitigation strategies, and managing challenges to ensure project success.
  • Experience setting performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, and conducting regular performance evaluation to support the professional development of team members.
  • Experience developing strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, and anticipating future challenges.
  • Analyzing complex problems, gathering relevant data, and synthesizing information to generate actionable insights and inform decision-making processes.
  • Developing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures to ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Experience with PCB SMT and DFM process.
  • Experience in safety certification standards such as UL and TUV, including developing batteries with certification requirements, understanding the certification process, and managing its the logistical aspect.
