Position Overview
The Senior Power Platform & Power BI Engineer DSE is a strategic technical role responsible for the design, development, and lifecycle support of enterprise-grade automation and analytics solutions. As a Designated Support Engineer, this individual serves as a trusted advisor to enterprise stakeholders, delivering proactive guidance, issue resolution, and platform optimization across Power BI Desktop, Power Platform, and Power Automate Desktop (PAD). The role requires deep expertise in low-code development, robotic process automation (RPA), and data visualization, along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable applications using Power Apps and Power Automate Desktop to automate business processes and enhance operational efficiency
Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability
Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and third-party systems
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications
Provide proactive support and technical leadership across Power Platform and Power BI environments
Ensure application security, governance, and lifecycle management in alignment with enterprise standards
Maintain technical documentation, solution architecture, and operational procedures
Deliver enablement sessions and best practice guidance to citizen developers and IT teams
Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates, platform enhancements, and industry trends
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic planning for low-code and data platform adoption
Requirements
Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Automate Desktop (PAD)
Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and visualization best practices
Proficiency in Power Fx, JSON, and formula-based logic
Experience with RPA design, desktop flow orchestration, and automation lifecycle management
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn fast
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, PL-300, or PL-600
Experience with Dynamics 365 integration and custom connectors
Knowledge of governance frameworks and environment strategy for Power Platform
Background in enterprise application development, business intelligence, or process automation
Familiarity with Azure services and hybrid integration scenarios
