Summary

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join our engineering team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and React.js for front-end development. This role requires a hands-on developer with excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for building scalable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and React.js.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
Develop and consume RESTful APIs for data exchange between front-end and back-end systems.
Ensure application performance, scalability, and security best practices.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
Work closely with DevOps teams for smooth deployments and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
Document technical designs and contribute to architecture discussions.

Required Skills & Experience:

5 10 years of full-stack development experience.
Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Front-end development using React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Microservices architecture and Cloud deployment (AWS or Azure).
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Experience with UI/UX optimization and reusable component design.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Senior-level developer (7 10 years), but open to strong mid-level candidates (5 7 years) with outstanding technical and soft skills.
Proactive, collaborative team player comfortable in hybrid work environments.
Strong communicator who can translate technical ideas to business stakeholders.
