BI Analyst
Working as a member of the application delivery team, you will support a range of data mining and reporting services across key business areas to deliver key business decision data and dashboards to leadership driving business decisions and initiatives.
Routinely manage multifaceted data/information sets linked to identified Operational Processes and business drivers and translate into actionable insight for senior leadership and other stakeholders, confidently using Power BI and general SQL queries to extract key data sets from systems, software, and tools in order to ensure successful critical reporting needs are met.
Meet with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements for reporting and dashboards, understanding the data workflow and supporting operational processes. Design and maintain real-time data feeds supporting critical business functions and present in an interactive manner .
Actively participate in the collation of information provided from both systematic and manual collection means to guide strategies for improving data analytics for business units and department leaders. Create data visualizations using enterprise tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet, Asana, Excel with appropriate data governance.
Handle routine tasks needed in the different solutions developed and maintained by the Application Delivery team supporting business needs and use.
What Will You Bring?

  • 3 years of relevant experience with business intelligence

  • Advanced level computer skills; Usage and experience in programming and database structures an asset.

  • Proven ability to write and execute moderate to complex SQL queries.

  • Conversant with databases and database terminology

  • Demonstrated experience with leading discussions to gather requirements for data reporting across cross-functional team environment

  • Attention to detail in completion of processes and maintaining documentation

  • Ability to provide quality results at a faster than average pace

  • Effective communication and documentation skills are required

  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively with teammates and others throughout the organization.

  • Accomplishments that reflect teamwork, integrity and accountability.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and delivery quality results in a growing organization

  • Experience in utilization of Power BI and SQL Reporting Services
