SAP BW/BI Developer
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or a related technical field (required)
Experience
- 10+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer working across SAP modules: FI/CA, FI, MD, SD, GT
- Proven track record supporting SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA upgrades (Brownfield approach)
- Extensive experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW/BI) development and support
Technical Skills Required
- SAP ABAP Programming across ECC modules (FI-CA, SD, FI, GL)
- SAP S/4 HANA upgrade and implementation (Brownfield methodology)
- SAP Business Warehouse (BW/BI) hands-on development
- Strong command over:
- SAP FI-CA business partner maintenance
- Sales orders, dunning, reconciliation, contract accounts
- Custom ABAP developments: user exits, BADIs, enhancements
- Adobe Forms, Smartforms, SAP Script, Print Workbench
- Web Dynpro ABAP/Java, REST Web Services, Portal upgrades
- SAP Debugging, Trace Tools, Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector
- ABAP SQL (complex joins, performance-tuned interfaces)
- Module pool programming, screen painter, batch job analysis
Technical Skills Preferred
- SAP Business Data Toolset (BDT)
- SAP CRM (Activity Management, Business Partner Mgmt)
- Fiori Elements and SAP Fiori app development on BTP using BAS
- SAP BAS and BTP Cockpit proficiency
- SAP Gateway & API development
- SAP CRM One Order Framework enhancements
- Native HANA transports, XS engine, BRF / BRF+
- Experience with cloud development environments
Responsibilities
- Act as SAP ABAP Programming Analyst
- Lead technical architecture, design diagrams, and system blueprints
- Develop and maintain SAP modules including FI/CA, SD, MD, and BW
- Conduct code reviews, create external documentation, and unit test scripts
- Work closely with business analysts to:
- Translate functional specs to technical designs
- Provide development effort estimations
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with functional teams
- Support incident and service request resolution
- Research SAP documentation, develop OSS notes, and recommend solutions
- Act as a Technical Lead in managing IT projects and delivery
Soft Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication for technical and functional liaison
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex projects
- Experience facilitating meetings and delegating technical work
