Job Description:

The Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant with expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Acquire to Retire (A2R) processes plays a pivotal role in leading change initiatives for enterprise-wide ERP transformations, with a specific emphasis on asset management and the fixed asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Change Strategy Development and Execution: Design and implement OCM strategies tailored to the A2R workstream in SAP S/4HANA programs. Assess and mitigate impacts of process redesigns across the asset lifecycle, such as shifting from manual capitalization to automated workflows or integrating IoT-enabled maintenance, to promote smooth adoption and operational continuity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Analysis: Perform comprehensive stakeholder mapping for A2R-affected groups, including asset managers, maintenance crews, procurement teams, and compliance officers. Identify potential resistance areas, like changes in retirement/disposal protocols or depreciation methods, and develop targeted engagement plans, including demos, roadshows, and feedback sessions to foster awareness and alignment.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Evaluate and document the effects of SAP S/4HANA migrations on asset management processes, covering planning (e.g., budgeting for acquisitions), acquisition and capitalization, depreciation schedules, maintenance integration, and retirement/disposal. Recommend strategies to address risks, such as data accuracy in asset registers or regulatory compliance during lifecycle transitions.
  • Training Support and Readiness: Contribute to training program design, recommending modalities suited to A2R processes (e.g., hands-on simulations for asset maintenance or virtual modules for depreciation tracking)..

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Organizational Development, or a related field. Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or certifications like Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, SAP S/4HANA Asset Management certification, or CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional).
  • 10+ years in Organizational Change Management for ERP transformations, including at least 5 years on SAP ECC to S/4HANA projects.
  • Specialized experience in Acquire to Retire (A2R) processes, with hands-on involvement in asset management lifecycles: planning, acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, maintenance, and retirement/disposal.
  • Background in asset-heavy industries like utilities, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure, where knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FASB, IFRS for asset accounting) and operational challenges is crucial.
  • Demonstrated success leading embedded change teams in multi-functional programs, with flexibility to scale resources across phases like exploration, build/test, and stabilization.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules for A2R, including Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Fixed Assets (FI-AA).
  • Proficiency in OCM frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) and tools for stakeholder analysis, impact tracking, and content creation (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, SAP Enable Now).
  • Familiarity with integration points between A2R and other ERP areas, such as finance (R2R) or procurement (P2P).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Superior communication and facilitation skills, adept at translating complex asset lifecycle changes into accessible narratives for varied audiences, from executives to front-line maintenance personnel.
  • Strong influencing and problem-solving abilities to navigate resistance in dynamic environments.
  • Analytical acumen for impact assessments and data-driven decision-making.
  • Positive, adaptable mindset with a reputation for building trust and realigning strategies as priorities evolve.
  • Collaborative approach in matrixed teams, with autonomy to drive initiatives.
