Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking individuals, including recent college graduates, for a Software Developer position. We are actively pursuing development of new features to our products to market in an aggressive campaign. The successful candidate will support CGI products as well as various projects within the Federal government. The candidate will work on Sunflower Assets product suite which is an enterprise-level asset management solution that delivers a single data repository for tactical operations and strategic planning purposes. By providing a holistic, personalized view of every enterprise asset throughout its lifecycle, Sunflower Assets significantly improves organization-wide asset management and internal controls. Sunflower Assets works to substantiate financial reporting, improve utilization, and ensure maximum accountability and proper stewardship of all enterprise assets.

This position is located in our Lafayette,LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Application Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining both new and existing applications. Whether you're troubleshooting a software defect, enhancing an existing application or developing a new solution you should be able to dig into frameworks and libraries to deliver coherent solutions in line with the overall architecture of the application landscape. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site agile team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective communication skills.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Academic background in computer science, computer engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content
Experience with Java, Springboot, JavaScript, JSON, SQL and Angular
Experience of using Microservices Architecture for REST based web services
Ability to bring projects to completion in a timely manner
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to learn and understand the nature of business
Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative agile environment.
Strong commitment to quality
Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 5+ years of experience

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,000.00 - $150,200.00.
