Job Description:
Seeking a highly specialized professional in one or more phases of software engineering and development. This individual will act independently under general direction, advising technical personnel on the conceptualization, development, and implementation of a broad range of information systems issues including hardware/software integration, platform compatibility, and enterprise-wide solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing feasibility analysis for potential future projects.
Planning strategies for improvement of information systems and services.
Communicating innovations and trends in systems development.
Designing and developing proposed solutions aligned with business problems and client requirements.
Directing high-level system analysis and strategy for new objectives.
Analyzing system redundancies and overlaps for optimization.
Leading task completion and formal software testing activities for complex applications.
Reviewing user requirements, developing test plans/scripts, and documenting results using tracking systems.
Analyzing and reporting on test findings to inform recommendations.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis, software development, and/or related fields.
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
Proficient in working independently on high-visibility or mission-critical programs.
Experience overseeing and mentoring staff or directing teams.
Demonstrated leadership in small teams or technical projects.
Expertise in evaluating software against business/technical requirements.
Solid foundation in project management (scope, cost, schedule).
Skilled in writing and reviewing technical documentation (e.g., specifications, design docs, test scripts).
Strong background in software development/testing across various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Technical Skill
Experience in one or more of the following:
ASP.Net, SQL, PL/SQL
Automated Testing Tools: Selenium, QTP, UFT, Sprinter
Performance Testing Tools: Performance Center
DevOps, XML, JSON
Oracle, SQL Server
RESTful Web Services
MicroStrategy
Microsoft Cloud Technology
Load & Capacity Testing
Web and Mobile Technologies
MS Office Suite
Additional Requirements
Willing to travel up to 50%
Application Integration Testing experience
Strong knowledge of ALM product suite (ALM & UFT)
Ability to create test plans based on functional/technical specifications
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools such as VersionOne
Knowledge of ITSM systems (preferably ServiceNow) and ITIL frameworks
Clearance & Provisions
Must pass client-mandated clearance, including drug screening, criminal history, and credit check
Must have resided in the U.S. for the past 5 years
No more than 6 months of international travel in the past 5 years (excluding military service)
Dress code: Business casual
Note: Overtime must be pre-approved in writing and will be reimbursed at straight time.
