Senior Compensation Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Specialist to join our client's team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be an expert in HR compensation with a minimum of 10 years of direct experience. This role is crucial for guiding and coaching managers on career family assessments, refining job descriptions to align with organizational standards, and performing market benchmarking for various roles, particularly within the IT sector. This includes identifying and participating in compensation benchmark surveys, providing insightful analysis, and making data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining and analyzing data on the company's compensation survey platform and dashboard, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure fair and competitive compensation practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Guide and coach managers through career family assessments and the creation/editing of job descriptions.
- Benchmark roles against both internal and external markets to ensure competitive compensation.
- Identify and participate in compensation benchmark surveys, with a specific focus on IT roles.
- Analyze survey data and provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership based on findings.
- Maintain and utilize the company's compensation survey platform, dashboard, and analytics tools.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to address and resolve compensation-related issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR Compensation.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with compensation systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, PayFactors).
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.
- Experience in survey participation, data modeling, and developing compensation strategies.
- Preferred: Certifications such as CCP, PHR, or a Master s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration.
