Sr. Principle Network Architect

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Description:

Writes, tests, and documents technical work products (e.g., code, scripts, processes) according to organizational standards and practices

Delivers high quality work and coaches team members on technical craftsmanship

Conducts root cause analysis to identify systemic problems and defines and leads execution of action items to address

Designs thoughtfully integrated systems that model organizational best practices, allowing disparate teams across product domains to deliver value with speed, scale, and reliability

Oversees the management of technical debt in existing systems and drives opportunities to eliminate within ongoing implementations

Consistently anticipates scaling, latency, and durability challenges and guides teams in implementation of mitigating strategies

Partners with the security organization to incorporate security conscious practices early in the lifecycle of new systems

Thoughtfully evaluates technical risks and guides toward practical prevention strategies

Consistently works across teams to break down silos and resolve problems collaboratively

Builds and maintains strong relationships with engineering and product leaders as well as key vendors across span of influence to capitalize on synergies within related organizations

Clearly translates technical strategy into implementable componentry within the context of the relevant business area

Maintains a focus on removing the duplication of effort across teams and proactively identifies opportunities for reuse within their span of influence

Mentors individuals on teams across their span of influence

Ensures teams across their span of influence are directionally aligned on the engineering strategy of their product domain and leads cross-team efforts that advance and influence organizational strategy

Minimum Qualifications Education & Prior Job Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

9+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

Deep technical expertise in network infrastructure, including VoIP/IP telephony, global routing and switching architectures, and cloud integration. Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex, enterprise-grade communication and networking solutions across large, geographically distributed environments.

Expert-level knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and anycast, with hands-on experience designing and implementing advanced routing techniques for large-scale, highly available networks.

tTechnical knowledge of SDWAN, MPLS, VXLAN, Cloud networking, and systems interconnectivity

Demonstrated expertise in SIP architecture integration with both customized and COTS solutions, coupled with deep experience in VoIP networking and strong technical proficiency in designing and supporting LAN/WAN architectures

Demonstrated SIP Architecture integration experience with customized and COTS solutions

Willingness to interact with senior management and influence decision makers, embraces ambiguity and enables clarity.

Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders, translating issues into clear, actionable insights to support informed decision-making.

Skilled in producing comprehensive architecture documentation and detailed design drawings, as well as developing runbooks to support Day 2 operations and ongoing network reliability.
