Job Details

The Project Engineer will support several facilities by delivering projects that enhance productivity, reliability and safety. The Project Engineer will also lead projects from concept to completiondefining objectives, coordinating scope with business leaders, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Responsibilities include scope development, cost estimation, equipment requirements, design oversight, construction management, safety reviews, and project closeout. Projects often involve both asset repairs and process improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead project definition to align stakeholders on goals and objectives.
  • Optimize project scope to maximize value from corporate investments.
  • Develop cost estimates, schedules, and financial approval documents.
  • Define process requirements and equipment specifications.
  • Evaluate equipment options and justify selections.
  • Design and support processing equipment (e.g., pumps, tanks, piping).
  • Create design basis and manage engineering firm deliverables.
  • Oversee contractor selection, bid evaluations, and construction.
  • Define control system specifications for programming and configuration.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with finance for economic analysis and invoice management.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Collect field data to support design and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with site operations from planning through construction.
  • Help develop team processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of project engineering experience in a processing facility preferred.
  • Proficient in all project phases from planning to startup, with knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines and automation.
  • Experience with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, process design, and equipment (pumps, tanks, piping).
  • Familiar with construction permits and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and physical systems.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize across multiple project timelines.
  • Effective risk assessment and sound judgment in stakeholder-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable working with limited structure or documentation.
  • Proactive in issue resolution, safety-conscious, and deadline-driven.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% for project support
