Job Details
Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
Collaborate with business partners and vendors on infrastructure integration.
Implement WLAN designs and processes to improve development and support.
Maintain and administer WLAN hardware, software, and configurations.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or network issues.
Participate in an on-call rotation with team members (approximately 1 week every 8 weeks).
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of IT experience with 3 6 years of progressively responsible, network-related roles.
Required Technical Skills:
WLAN implementation and support.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, Ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.
Experience with LAN operations and Cisco switch implementation.
Hands-on with Cisco WLAN devices/products (AireOS, 9800 series, etc.).
Desired Skills:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Experience with automation technologies and scripting.
Prior work experience in medium to large companies.
