Job Description:
- We are seeking a Senior Production Support Analyst to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for mission-critical banking applications, ensuring high availability, stability, and operational excellence.
- This role involves active monitoring, incident resolution, change management, and collaboration with both internal teams and external IT communities.
- Actively monitor production activities to detect and address issues promptly.
- Perform remediation steps to restore services and minimize downtime.
- Interface with external IT teams to resolve incidents quickly and effectively.
- Escalate Level 3 incidents to the development team when necessary.
- Log work efforts in the support tracking system and collaboXX with management to reduce recurring issues.
- Participate in after-hours support activities when required.
- Candidateage and execute changes to production environments for NAR applications.
- Coordinate with development teams to prioritize releases.
- Ensure change requests comply with Group and Department policies.
- Be available for after-hours and weekend change deployments when necessary.
- Participate in project planning phases to ensure readiness for post-release support.
- Provide regular status updates to management for prioritization and escalation.
- Conduct and attend meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze control results, geneXX reports, and initiate corrective actions.
- Take on project management responsibilities for special projects as assigned.
Experience And Background:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a production/application support role.
- Banking or financial sector experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of core banking applications and/or data warehousing is an asset.
- DevOps exposure is an advantage.
- Strong database expertise: Oracle, MS SQL.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux with command-line experience.
- Scripting skills (Candidatell, PowerShell, etc.).
- Experience with scheduling tools (Autosys).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Sysload, Geneos).
- Experience with collaboration tools (SharePoint).
- Understanding of file transfer protocols.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Professional, proactive, and adaptable.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of global financial products is a plus.
- Project management skills are an asset.
