Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL QA Automation Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automation test scripts in an ETL/data warehouse environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data pipelines using technologies such as SSIS, Snowflake, and related ETL tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated test scripts for ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand data transformation logic and ensure end-to-end data accuracy.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation across various stages of the ETL process.
- Implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ETL workflows using SSIS, Snowflake, and similar platforms.
- Conduct performance and regression testing on ETL jobs and SQL scripts.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and document data and test anomalies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in QA with focus on ETL/Data Warehouse testing.
- Strong expertise in ETL tools (SSIS preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake for querying and validation.
- Solid experience in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Python, Java, or other scripting languages relevant to data testing).
- Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and transformation testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of data governance or data quality tools.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
