RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a Data Analyst.
Duties:
* Accurately execute daily inventory transactions in ERP systems, including work orders, assembly builds, transfers, receipts, and adjustments across multiple manufacturing sites and third-party warehouses
* Coordinate with production teams to process and close work orders, ensuring smooth operational continuity
* Maintain ERP data integrity through regular system cleanups and validation checks
* Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying trends that impact manufacturing profitability and operational efficiency
* Evaluate financial performance across manufacturing operations, including overhead, variances, and inventory valuation
* Develop and present clear visual reports (charts, graphs, tables) to support monthly production reviews and strategic decision-making
* Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to resolve transactional discrepancies and validate complex accounting entries
* Ensure accurate cost allocations across business units through proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost accounting accuracy and operational efficiency
* Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations related to inventory and cost of goods sold
* Conduct cycle count reconciliations and process inventory adjustments based on physical verification, including participation in annual audits
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs by providing historical data analysis and insights
* Contribute to ad hoc reporting and special projects focused on inventory optimization and cost reduction
* Review vendor invoices for raw material purchases and maintain audit-ready documentation for compliance purposes
* Support year-end audit preparation through documentation and reconciliation activities
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
* CPA or CMA candidate
* 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, cost accounting, or financial analysis
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors
* Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
* Strong analytical skills with a track record of resolving data discrepancies and complex transaction issues
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
* Demonstrated experience with inventory management systems
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes including bill of materials, work order management, and supply chain logistics
* Understanding of standard costing methodologies and variance analysis in manufacturing environments
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining audit-ready documentation and following established procedures
* Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards in a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance in manufacturing operations
* Project management experience, particularly in process improvement initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
