Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator II to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing system infrastructures, ensuring they meet organizational needs and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain MECM for software deployment, patching, operating system deployment (OSD), and endpoint configuration.
  • Troubleshoot MECM client issues, deployment failures, and ensure endpoint health and compliance.
  • Develop and deploy software packages, updates, and patches using MECM.
  • Monitor MECM infrastructure performance and ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Utilize AdminStudio for application packaging, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development and application teams to ensure software compatibility and successful deployment.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Batch, or VBScript to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Automate deployment processes, reporting, and system health checks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Work with IT security teams to ensure endpoints are patched and compliant with security standards.
  • Monitor and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities and configuration issues.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for endpoint-related issues involving MECM, AdminStudio, and related systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, packaging processes, and scripts.
  • Generate regular reports on software deployments, patch compliance, and endpoint health.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in system administration with a focus on MECM and AdminStudio.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Batch, or VBScript.
  • Experience with patch management, software deployment, and system configuration.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving deployment and endpoint issues.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows OS management.
  • Understanding of endpoint security practices, including encryption and antivirus tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • AdminStudio Certification
  • ITIL Foundation or similar ITSM certifications
  • Experience with SQL for reporting and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with additional endpoint management tools such as Intune or SCCM.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with large-scale deployment
