Location/Division Specific Information

This position is in the Cybersecurity Architecture team within Corporate Infrastructure & Security (CIS).

Discover Impactful Work:

As a Sr. Staff Security Architect, you'll be a part of our global Cybersecurity Architecture team, responsible for overall enterprise security architecture, road-maps and security solutions architecture. You'll be working with all aspects of cloud security, ranging from working on improving our cloud security posture to working with other internal teams using the cloud as a part of their applications and solutions.

A day in the Life:
  • Define and manage our cloud security roadmap by identifying areas for improvement, mapping dependencies and investigating solutions.
  • Provide cybersecurity oversight and consulting for solutions from both a technical and from an operational perspective and create new processes when appropriate.
  • Ensure our security controls meet appropriate regulatory and business requirements and prioritize implementation as necessary.
  • Create presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring technical, process and financial impact of proposed controls and solutions is well understood.
  • Work on improving our visibility with cloud related activities and ensure information is actionable and backed by appropriate processes.
Keys to Success:
  • Ability to understand processes and to assess impact of process or technology changes to various levels of the organization.
  • Past experience in managing and improving cloud platform security and overall server, application and operating system security, in various public cloud environments such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with data protection, encryption and application integration and an ability to understand various types of data flows.
  • Understanding of the underlaying technologies used by public cloud providers and using similar principles in on-premises environments.
  • Ability to translate cybersecurity risks into solutions and to explain complex solutions to IT and business leadership.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted.
  • Certifications not required, but encouraged: CISSP, or other cloud security-related certifications a plus.
Experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with large public cloud environments, including both IaaS and PaaS services and service management.
  • Experience with cloud identity management and multiple cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting, especially with various APIs provided by AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of risk management and familiarity with different cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements, and practical experience using the frameworks within the cloud security realm.
  • Infrastructure as a code and relevant tooling experience a big plus.

  • Strong proactive analytical and problem-solving skills in both ambiguous and tactical situations with a bias for action.
  • Ability to act both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to excellence, high-quality standards, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of FedRAMP requirements, and ability to work with GovCloud environments as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $143,000.00-$214,475.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
