Job Title: SharePoint Collaboration Systems Administrator / Systems Administrator
Location: East Peoria, IL (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Collaboration Systems Administrator to manage and support Microsoft SharePoint environments both Online (M365 Government Cloud) and On-Premises (2019) serving over 100,000 active users. You will play a critical role in ensuring platform security, compliance, and performance while implementing cutting-edge tools such as Microsoft Syntex, AvePoint, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring deep SharePoint expertise, strong scripting ability, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2019 On-Premises, and M365 Government Cloud environments.
Ensure platform compliance, security, and performance for large-scale user bases.
Leverage tools like Microsoft Syntex, AvePoint, and M365 Copilot to enhance productivity and user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a SharePoint subject matter expert (SME) on complex technical issues.
Participate in major enterprise projects and contribute to Microsoft s product development through feedback.
Improve navigation, design, and usability of SharePoint via Microsoft s Standard and Targeted Release strategies.
Develop utilities and automation scripts to optimize administration tasks using PowerShell and Graph API.
Ensure effective integration with other Microsoft 365 tools and services.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience in SharePoint and Microsoft 365 administration.
In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2019 On-Premises architecture and features.
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, especially in government cloud environments (GCC High preferred).
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and working knowledge of Microsoft Graph API.
Basic understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD): groups, guest access, permissions, federation, and licensing.
Ability to document and troubleshoot complex issues and suggest effective solutions.
Strong communication skills, self-starter attitude, and eagerness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with enterprise collaboration platforms and systems integration.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 roadmap and early adoption processes.
Understanding of requirements analysis, system testing, and implementation practices.
Background in supporting application systems in large-scale organizations.
