Job Details

Job Title: Snowflake Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 10 Months (High Possibility for extension)

  • Data Ingestion and Transformation:
  • Develop and manage data replication pipelines to extract data from diverse sources, transforming it into a usable format for analysis within Snowflake.
  • Implement data automated data ingestion, Delta capture, cleansing and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Data Modeling and Storage:
  • Design and build optimized data models in Snowflake to effectively store and access large volumes of data, considering performance and scalability needs.
  • Utilize Snowflake's features like partitioning and clustering to optimize query performance.
  • Data Governance and Security:
  • Implement robust data security measures including access controls, encryption, and data masking to protect sensitive customer information.
  • Monitor data usage and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration with Business Teams:
  • Work closely with Architects, Technical Project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable data pipelines.
  • Provide data insights and support for reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues, optimizing queries and data processing within Snowflake.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data loading speeds and query efficiency.
  • Snowflake Administration:
  • Manage Snowflake transient and Persistent Table and view creation.
  • Monitor Snowflake system health and performance metrics.

Key skills and qualifications for a Snowflake Data Engineer:

  • Expertise in Snowflake data warehouse architecture and functionalities
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data manipulation and transformation
  • Proficiency in data pipeline development using ETL/ELT tools
  • Understanding of data governance principles and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
