Role: Microsoft 365 Administrator

Location: Des Moines, Iowa - Hybrid

Direct client

To be successful, you need:

  • Experience configuring and maintaining key components of M365 applications, including Exchange Online and Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Experience designing, planning, and executing Office 365 migrations including Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, SharePoint Online, and MS Teams.
  • Experience monitoring system maintenance, application health, and functionality; reviewing system events and analyzing usage and storage trends.
  • Experience maintaining proper security measures by managing governance policies and permission groups.
  • Experience designing and implementing modern SharePoint sites for organizational needs.
  • Experience with Identity Management and Directory Sync supporting M365 workloads.
  • Experience developing custom solutions using the M365 platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Lists, and Forms.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting to maintain M365 infrastructure and automate administrative tasks.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders across multiple departments to leverage M365 capabilities.
  • Experience staying current on M365 features, capabilities, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience providing training and documentation to end-users and administrators.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to M365 applications.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 image and patch management.
  • Experience with Intune endpoint management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain the M365 platform and its core applications including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Entra ID.
  • Monitor application health and functionality; escalate issues to Microsoft support as needed.
  • Work with business stakeholders to design solutions that meet organizational expectations using M365 capabilities.
  • Maintain security and compliance by managing organization policies, permission groups, and conducting regular audits.
  • Design, plan, and execute migrations to M365 services.
  • Serve as primary administrator for Intune endpoint management and Entra ID, working with engineers and operations support personnel.
  • Develop and implement custom solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Design and develop modern, high-impact SharePoint sites for departments and offices.
  • Participate in compliance and security reviews, building security, reliability, and scalability into the M365 architecture.
  • Educate end-users and administrators on collaboration tools, policies, and best practices.
  • Develop documentation and training materials for M365 services.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues related to M365 applications, including providing basic troubleshooting over the phone.
  • Stay informed about changes to and industry trends concerning the M365 environment through industry publications and online sources.
  • Participate in PC deployments and collaborate on Windows image management.
  • Research and advise on various aspects of the M365 platform including configuration and policy settings.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in information systems, computer science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certifications in one or more:
    • ITIL certification
    • Active Directory / Identity management experience
    • Microsoft 365 certified enterprise administrator certifications
