SAP BRIM Consultant

Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (Dauphin County)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Mostly remote, but requires attending meetings/work sessions 1 week per month and must live within 1.5 hours or less of Middletown, PA).
• Contract: This is a Contract position.
• Mode of Interview: Either Webcam or In Person.

Key Technical Expertise and Project Scope

The role requires a senior architect capable of implementing end-to-end business processes related to subscription and usage-based billing.

1. SAP BRIM Implementation (7 Years Required)

• Core Modules: 7 years of hands-on SAP BRIM configuration experience in relevant modules: Subscription Order Management (SOM) and Convergent Invoicing (CI).
• Platform: Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA hosted in a commercial cloud environment.
• Project Cycles: Experience on at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA BRIM implementations in the relevant modules is required.
• Related Modules: Architect and implement changes across related technologies: Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Convergent Charging (CC).

2. Billing, Payment & Compliance

• Billing Models: Provide advisory and implementation services for high-volume, consumption-based billing and revenue management models.
• Payment Security: Expertise in PCI DSS compliance, tokenization, and secure payment flows designs.
• Integration: Experience working with payment gateways for actual tokenization and payment processing integration and working with non-SAP CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics CRM) processing real-time payments.
• Usage Capture: Required Familiarity with mediation systems for usage capture and rating integrations.
• Compliance: Ensure systems are designed and built to be PCI and SOC1/SOC2 compliant.

3. Functional Leadership & Integration

• Requirements: Lead workshops with the business to gather requirements, capturing processes, features, and user stories.
• Documentation: Document process design, features, user stories, configuration, and development tasks in Microsoft Dev Ops (ADO). Write functional specifications and test cases per SAP best practices.
• Integration & Data: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP BRIM with other systems (e.g., SAP ERP). Collaborate on data models, ensuring accurate target mappings, and successful high-volume data migration using delta loads.

4. Training & Support

• Conduct training sessions to teach and mentor junior staff and support teams on SAP BRIM functionality, increasing business team familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA, BRIM, and FICA (Financial Contract Accounting).
• Recommend the right usage of FIORI to enhance usability for accountants and end-users.
