Leidos is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Service Management, Integration, and Transport program (SMIT). This is an eight-year, $7.7 billion contract that is responsible for maintaining and modernizing the main global network of the Navy and Marine Corps.
In support of this exciting program Leidos is looking to hire a Senior IT Specialist in Quantico, VA to join our Team.
Under SMIT(Service Management, Integration, and Transport) the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Job Description
The qualified candidate will perform asset scanning and logging of assets that have been delivered in accordance with established Government directives for both Lab and Production assets. Other duties and responsibilities include:
Perform daily SharePoint administration tasks, including site creation and maintenance, user permissions, reporting, auditing, and content management to support collaboration and information sharing across the organization.
Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal Information Technology (IT) system performance.
Design and oversee upgrades and new installations of IT systems and services, ensuring alignment and coordination with Cyber Security Specialists. Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networks.
Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of core services such as Internet Protocol (IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and routing protocols.
Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems, ensuring continuous network operations or managing service restoration when needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field, 10 Years of Experience
- Experience including SharePoint Administration, Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT).
- Active DOD Secret clearance
- Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification.
- Experience with process automation, workflow optimization, and technical documentation is highly desirable.
