Position Summary
Carlyle is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Business Analytics Lead to join the Global Technology & Solutions team. This role combines deep technical proficiency with business acumen to drive insights, reporting, and technology solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the Investor Relations team. The individual will serve as the hands-on technical resource for real-time business analytics, supporting decision-making through data-driven insights and helping streamline reporting processes. Additionally, the candidate will possess knowledge in the generative AI space, to enhance data-driven insights by synthesizing structured and unstructured data from third party sources and internal systems, supporting strategic decision-making in fundraising.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Global Head of Investor Relations and the COO of Investor Relations, with a dotted line reporting structure to ensure alignment with the team's strategic and operational priorities. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to tailor solutions to the specific business needs of Investor Relations.
In-Office Requirements: 4 days per week in-office

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Responsibilities
- Custom Solutions Development: Design, develop, and deploy tailored technological solutions that meet the specific needs of the Investor Relations team, with a focus on strategic data management, analytics, and reporting.
- Analytics & Reporting: Build and maintain advanced dashboards and real-time visualizations that track key performance indicators (KPIs), including investor engagement, fundraising activity, and revenue growth. Provide data-driven insights to guide strategy and optimize outreach.
- Business Intelligence: Leverage internal data and external market intelligence, including industry publications and publicly available datasets, to build business intelligence tools that drive strategic decision-making and better inform management.
- Generative AI Implementation: Leverage generative AI tools like Hebbia, AlphaSense, and ChatGPT etc. to automate market research summaries and integrate them with internal data. Apply prompt engineering to optimize AI outputs, ensuring accuracy and relevance for senior leadership's strategic decisions.
- Strategic Tool Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and implement the right tools and platforms for data analysis, investor tracking, performance monitoring, and communication, ensuring they align with the strategic goals of the Investor Relations team.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze market trends, client interactions, and competitive benchmarks to deliver valuable insights that help guide sales strategies, optimize outreach, and improve client targeting. Provide real-time data to the sales leadership, helping them make informed decisions to drive revenue growth, enhance investor relationships, and prioritize opportunities for business development globally.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams from Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Investment teams to ensure data flow and solution integration, ensuring the seamless delivery of strategic projects.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on the integration of new systems, including advising on best practices for data governance, automation, and scalability to enhance Investor Relations processes.
- Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the alternatives and private investing landscape, continuously updating knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and investor expectations to stay ahead of market developments.
- Hands-On Execution: Act as the go-to technical person for the Global Head of Investor Relations / [COO of Investor Relations], directly handling reporting requests and real-time data needs to support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
- Bachelor's Degree, required
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Business, or a related field, preferred
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of overall relevant experience, required
- 7+ years of experience in technology strategy, data analytics, or business intelligence roles, preferably within financial services, private equity, or investor relations, preferred
Competencies & Attributes
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL), dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and data management platforms. Strong knowledge of data architecture, automation, and system integration.
